happy autumn!

Happy Autumn Equinox from the one and only Sugar Moon Blog! I hope everyone is enjoying their beginning of fall and taking in the cool weather (if its near you). I'm so very lucky that it's going to be quite a chilly week, in the 60s which is crazy! We are very lucky to have the Harvest Moon only a few days after the equinox which makes the full moon even more special.

As we welcome in this new season, we let go of the summer and everything that came with it. We welcome in new beginnings. Take this time to let this season to remind you how helpful and beautiful it is to let go. Enjoy the fall! I don't know about you but every fall I always seem to get too lazy and end up saying, "I'll just do everything next year" but not this time! With that being said, go on those fall walks, go to a local library, have that pumpkin spice latte you've been craving, and enjoy what mother nature has to give to us.

Definitely get those cutesie fall outfits ready to be worn and give Trader Joe's a visit as you know they always have the best things for Autumn! I actually went on a fall outfit shopping trip, I spent well over the amount I wanted to spend lol but I got so many goodies. I seriously cannot wait to wear all the clothes I got!! I'll 100% be showing you guys, ofc!

New nails!

As stated in my previous post, I had a nail appointment today! I wasn't sure on if I should've done one solid color or a design, buttt I went with design lol. I wanted something small and cute for the beginning of autumn as my October set will be more halloweenie. My nails were so long yesterday omg and typing was getting so frustrating! So this set is a lot shorter than I usually go but I love it! I'm so happy I decided to choose shorter, it feels like I can breathe haha.

Obviously I couldn't talk about my nails without showing you guys a picture!

Here they are!! When I saw this design on pinterest I HAD to get it. I love that it's not too much and you can obviously tell that it's an apple. The nail lady was so helpful and really trying to make sure I was getting what I was showing her. She even tested out colors for me which I'm so grateful for. I feel like I always have to hype myself up to ask for something if I don't like it. I just don't want to come across as rude or annoying. But recently I have gotten better at asking for things and making sure it's what I'm looking for.

Fortunately this time, the lady really didn't mind and she honestly seemed just as motivated as I was to find the right colors. Anyways, this set is perfect for September and I'm so happy with the result!!

Nonna's Girl

As I have a nail appointment coming up tomorrow, I thought today would be a great day to tell you guys about my wonderful grandma. Now, you're probably wondering what my nails have to do with my Nonna but if you knew her like how I did, one of the first things that will come to your head are her gorgeous nails.

My Nonna had the longest nails ever and as a kid, I was truly a chronic nail biter. I mean, biting my nails until I hit the nail bed bad. So, growing up I wanted nothing more than to have long nails just like her. She'd bring me to nail appointments almost all the time to get our mani pedis together and then a classic Walmart run right after. We could've shopped for hours in the clothing section and jewelry section and do it all again the next day.

As I'm typing this now, my nails are just as long as my Nonna's and my style is almost as good as hers. She really knew how to put together an outfit with an adorable newsboy hat just to put in a pair of earrings to bring it all together. Now that I'm older, I'm very grateful to wear her pairs of earrings along with bracelets that have charms for all of her grandkids. It's a nice daily reminder that she never went a day without loving her family.

I know if she were here right now, seeing how consistent I am with my nail appointments and how long my nails are, she'd be so proud of me. And that in itself is more than enough for me to carry her with me through my day to days. I love nothing more than to look down at my fingers and for the first thought to be about her.

I hope those of you who are reading this, whose grandparents are still walking this earth, hug them tight and go on those trips to see them because those are really the moments that you will be grateful for. No matter how much you might put it off, because I know I did as I got older, it's always so worth it in the end and you'll thank yourself forever.

 Happy September 1st!

We have officially made it to the “ber” months! I’ve been so m.i.a because I got a new apartment with my boyfriend! It’s been so crazy and hectic and on top of that I’m sick, yuck. I missed blogging so much though and I had to hop on and make a post asap!

I want to make sure my place is perfectly decorated and ready for the fall season that’s on its way! As it usually is, moving into a new place, it’s kinda empty and there’s nothing on the walls right now. We still have boxes and stuff sitting around so I’m going to try my best to get those emptied and away in storage. I really want to get some fall decorations but due to being sick, my boyfriend says I can’t go anywhere today and that I have to rest :( I will find a way to somehow get what I want lol.

I’m currently eating chicken noodle soup that I made last night after we went on a late night Trader Joe’s grocery run. I LOVE chicken noodle soup when I’m sick and not to mention that it is also soup season! OH it’s also rainy today woohoo! There’s supposed to be thunderstorms today which make the day even better!

I hope everyone else who is reading this isn’t sick like me and is enjoying their first of the month. Get those decorations and get fallin!

Women need to support women

I've been thinking a lot recently about all the things that have been happening associated with women. Unfortunately, the cruelty and ha...
